We live in the Netherlands in a town called "Almere". This is a very nice town, in a province that is called "Flevoland". This province was formed by putting dikes in a square in a the lake called "IJsselmeer" and pomp all the water out of the square. This is how they create land in Holland.

The first part of Almere (-Haven) was founded on the 25th november 1976 so in the year 2001 we had the 25th anniversary which was celebrated greatly.

I came to live with my family here in december 1997. We bought a house when I needed to move for my work to Hoofddorp, near Schiphol. By now however due to a close of the company in Holland I have found work in Almere at a medicin grosser called "Alliance-Healthcare".

We came originally from Wolvega in the province "Friesland" (for the Frisian anthem click here). I am still proud to be a Frisian, but I also feel like a Flevoër.

My wife and I have a hobby we do together and that is Dancing. I have made a link to where we keep the results. Other hobbies of mine are working with the computer, slooprowing and watching movies.

If for any reason you look at this site from your work because you don't feel like working or you are at home after a bad they at the job, always remember that things can get wors!
